Yesterday was one of those days. I had a LONGGGGGGGG list of things I wanted to accomplish as the week had been very busy! At the moment, I work full time and use every other moment I have on weekdays and weekends to pour into my own company work – it can be quite challenging!
I woke up pretty tired but as usual, met my sister at the gym to do a cardio kickboxing class we both love love love!! But, I could barely keep up 🙁 I HATE feeling like that because my morning workouts are key for me – I love starting the day with a great workout and keeping that positive feeling going throughout the day.
As we walked out of the class, my sister looked at me and said (in a rather stern tone) – “Go to bed – NOW.” Of course I knew this was the right thing to do but after a quick lunch, I got in front of my computer, set to tackle my ever so long “To Do” list. My mind was jumbled and I couldn’t figure out where to start. My eyes felt blurry and everything started to annoy and frustrate me. Grrrrrrr! I had to admit, my sister was right. I closed my laptop and napped. And then I napped a little more, and a LOT more.
Who knew I was that tired! You know the BEST part – when I woke up, I was more productive and happier than ever.
My message here is that one in a while, you have to deviate from your plan. There is no sense in trying to attack a plan when you feel like you can’t function – recipe for disaster. After I got some sleep, recharged, I got to delve into my tasks with a renewed sense of energy.
I have to remember that for next time!
