The movie is about a young teenager with a great family, friends and a seemingly perfect life, except that he is hiding one major secret – he is gay. A classmate figures out his secret and uses it to blackmail Simon and eventually share’s Simon’s secret.
It is a heartwarming movie with the message about loving and accepting yourself.
I was totally bawling in this clip when Jennifer Garner spoke because it struck a cord: Once you let your secret out, you too can exhale and start on a new path with limitless possibilities. We all deserve to to live a life full of love, acceptance of exactly who we are 🙂
