As many of you know, I don’t listen when I hear “No.” I just dust myself off and make another attempt……and another and another. I am very comfortable reaching out, asking for help, advice and guidance from anyone – whether I know them or not. I have always had the “You never know till you try” or “What’s the worst thing that can happen” approach to life.

Time for you – recharge, slow down
Yesterday was one of those days. I had a LONGGGGGGGG list of things I wanted to accomplish as the week had been very busy! At the moment, I work full time and use every other moment I have on weekdays and weekends to pour into my own company work – it can be quite challenging!
Photo shoot for Website!!
Yesterday was photoshoot day!! Can’t believe that we have now gotten to this stage – it feels like barely a month ago, the website was just this teeny idea in my head but suddenly felt – “This sh** gettin’ REAL!”
Remembering to stop to smell the roses
Lately, I feel like I’ve been running as fast as that Energizer Bunny. In between working full-time at my current company as well as doing everything necessary to launch my own company, my time is definitely scarce.
It will all *eventually* be clear…
One area I found myself struggling with over the past 4 weeks (since the tube light went off) is that I wanted my vision, speech, and my brand to ALL be crystal clear. Therefore, as I was trying to conceptualize this, it would frustrate me that I didn’t know EXACTLY what that was……rather infuriating actually. Creating a speech…
Theoretically, if I want to create a company based around motivational speaking, logic would dictate that ACTUALLY writing a speech is a prerequisite. (VERY true). While I know that I have a very unique story, sitting down and putting my experience on paper is a lot harder than I expected. Continue Reading
An author? Who… ME?
I’ve started to tell people my plans of starting my motivational speaking company – friends, family and other motivational speakers – and the prevailing comment I often hear is – “So you’re writing a book now right”??? – Ummm….when did motivational speaking become an obvious link to writing a book?! Shows how much I know (clearly I have a lot to learn). Continue Reading
Remembering a long road ahead…
Idea Generation Explosion
It’s been one week since the tube light went off. My mind has been racing like crazy! How do I start? What do I do? Who do I contact? What needs to be done? It dawns on me – creating my own company will require me to wear many many many hats. All of a sudden – I have to be a kick a** marketer, a saavy PR agent, a visionary, a story teller, a speech writer, an author, a public speaker extraordinaire among others. Continue Reading
The 5 minute conversation that changed my life…
Yesterday, I saw a man that I had met only once before. He came up to me and said “Dina, you are my hero.” Looking quite perplexed, I asked him what he was referring to. He said that he had read all about me?!?! Ummm…..what on earth!!…..should I be scared?! Continue Reading
